Life is short as we know it. What a waste for us to pass the days that we have here in Dunya without thinking of Him or even death itself. No matter how caught up you can be in your daily routine, none of us should ever put Dunya's priorities above Akhirat's needs.
Yes, I know sometimes-most of the time- it's hard for us to be istiqamah with our ibadahs and sunnahs. Sometimes, we even might have forgotten and left these obligations unattended because we have so much stuffs on our plate we neglect the importance of our ibadahs. We're somehow blinded by our lives and Dunya. But let's not talk about the other causes bringing to our negligence of our obligations like the devils and what not. Let's try to reflect this upon ourselves and why can't we be more 'into' our daily ibadahs like when we're with our hobbies or addictions like Tumblr-ing or Fangirl-ing.
Have we tried to know more about our obligations and what they mean?
No, most of us haven't. We haven't even take a sec to think about it how can we even try. Why? Because most of are born with the luxury of being a Muslim and surrounded by a strong Muslim community. Where everyone around us is practicing Islam and none of us are deprived from doing it. So, we merely just following. Without even knowing what we're following.
Let's start with our main ultimate ibadah. The first one that will be arbitrate on the day of judgement, the Solah. What do you know of solah? How did it became such eminent ibadah? Why is it the most important ibadah among the rest that we have? Do you know the meanings of the recitation in the solah? What is the consequences of those who leave this form of ibadah that is mainly the pillar of our religion? If you haven't thought of any of this questions before and seek for their answers, my brothers and sisters, you might haven't touched the surface of the content that our religion is trying to convey to its believers.
Well, here's a starting point for any of siblings of Islam for a start, the meaning of the recitations in our prayers. I haven't look into to find the english translations, but I'll get to it surely as soon as I can.
This is a long post that I've left off a long time ago actually. I actually literally forgotten it. However, I'm inspired by how determine I am to post this then. And I shall not stop now for this. I will continue this. Inshaa Allaah. Until then, wassalam.
