Bandung.

Now, why do I feel like it's been a while since we've been on a family vacation? Oh, yes. It's been a WHILE and trust me, doesn't it feel good? SOOO GOOD. They say people change every day. People can change in mere seconds for all we know. You know it's creepy enough to see people around you change so slightly, but here I'm feeling the change in myself exactly in Bandung. I can't believed how different I've been. I mean, look- I'm seventeen. Don't be ridiculous by saying I'm haven't change since the 2005's birthday trip. Of course I have. See, how long since we've traveled? ha ha And boy, was it different.

Ayah :B

Her first time.

So, this was what I've learn in Bandung;
  • Things are REALLY cheap down there. We shopped til we literally dropped.
  • It's really superbly easy to communicate and I'm not joking. ha ha
  • It's normal to have people surround you every time you exit a shop. Obviously to sell you their best merchandise. Especially the popular tourists attractions.
  • Try not to freak out that much when you're eating at the food courts. The waiters really attend to you like bullets. You can have as much as 10 lists of menus on your hands at a time.
  • Nasi Padang is the AWESOME-EST. A bit dry, but isn't that pretty much the point? Indulge yourself in the culture!
  • Felt how feels to be a spoil brat. Not so cool. ha ha
  • Amazingly have I learn the art of spoiling a kid. bwahaha.
  • People would seriously go to serious measurements to get some money. Like the kids in Universities there, they would go to the extend of singing by the roads to get tips for MONEY. Freaky isn't it?
  • But really, Bandung has a pretty big population to hold. Almost 6 million for a small town. No wonder most of them migrated.

Smile Ummi :D

That's what I've learned. Enough about that. Let's talk about something else. My birthday has been great. I didn't know which part was the best. The part that Ummi literally bear hugged be from the side just to SCREAM Happy Birthday at the right time I was born or the fact that Effy made me this super cool contraption just to celebrate the day I was born or even the wishes I got on FB- but I guess everyone got that. All in all, I can say this is quite a birthday for my last school year. I was given soo much already and yet more is coming my way this birthday. I thank Allah S.W.T. for that. For another year. Some people just couldn't see life as it is sometimes. I can't deny I am one of them too at times. So I am living life as it is.

Well, at least I'm trying ;)
